Goyenda Gogol | Children's Movie | Bangla Detective Movie by Indraneil Sengupta & Ahijit Ghosh

Goyenda Gogol is a Indian Bengali suspense film, directed by Arindam Dey. Based on the story Sonali Parer Rahashya by Samaresh Basu, the film features child actor Ahijit Ghosh and Indraneil Sengupta in the lead roles. It boasts of being the first film to feature a tattooed Bengali private detective (Indraneil Sengupta). Saheb Chatterjee and Locket Chatterjee also play parents for the first time in this film.The film was released on 24 May 2013.In this story, Gogol sets out to Puri to spend his summer holidays with his mother (Rachana Banerjee) and U.S. returned father (Saheb Chatterjee) and come across Mandar Villa, also better known as Hanabari (haunted house), due to its deserted and haunted appearance. It attracts his attention from the very first day as he had heard about it before. Gogol comes to know that people, once they go inside the house, disappear mysteriously. The curious kid sets out on a mission to seek the real story. His curiosity drives him to it and he comes across Neil Senapati, a Professor, tries his best to drive him away from it. Gogol finds there is more of it. Ultimately he is kidnapped by Neil at 'Hanabari' after an unsuccessful attempt, but he is later rescued by Ashok Thakur, a private detective who was also closely following the developments and was after Professor Neil Senapati, who turns out to be Amrit, a notorious drug smuggler, who had kidnapped Gogol as he suspected Gogol to be in possession of a rare diamond, a 'Shah diamond', one of three left in the world which had been passed on to Gogol's bag by one of Amrit's men without Gogol's knowledge.

Shajarur Kanta is a 2015 Byomkesh Bakshi mystery film based on the novel of same name by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.The film is directed by Saibal Mitra. It is the second Shajarur Kanta film adaptation in Bengali, another was 1974 film of same name.The film begins with a drama performance by a group theater ‘Swapnochari’. Deepa who plays the lead role, is the star of the evening. The audience just loves her! But Deepa’s face expresses no joy. Next week, she is being married off, against her wishes, to a young industrialist by the name of Debashish Bhatto and this is her last show. Deepa has nothing against Debashis. He is good-looking, extremely well-to-do and interested in the arts, but she is in love with someone else. She dare not tell her family about him because all hell would then break loose.Nripati Laha, the founder member of the group, and Deepa’s brother Vijay look forward eagerly to the wedding as they both have much to gain from this alliance. Prabal Gupta, the director of the group theater is not only unhappy, but angry in the bargain. Deepa leaving the group means that the lead actress would be gone!Deepa’s wedding takes place right on schedule the week after the show. All the members of the group attend and all put up a joyous front. Debashis is already enchanted by his beautiful bride; the only thing that bothers him is the sullen expression on her face.

Badshahi Angti is a Bengali thriller film directed by Sandip Ray. starring Abir Chatterjee and Sourav Das as Feluda and Topse respectively. The film was released on 19 December 2014. It is the first film which stars Abir Chatterjee as Feluda. This was going to be a reboot to previous Feluda film series after Royal Bengal Rahashya. But in 2016 Sandip Ray cancelled the reboot series because Abir Chatterjee started a new version of film series based on Byomkesh Bakshi franchise under Shree Venkatesh Films and Surinder Films. The other reason was the new Feluda movie Sandip Ray intended to make under a Mumbai based production house Eros International, but Abir has a strict contract with Shree Venkatesh Films and Surinder Films.It was declared by Sandip Ray instead of continuing the reboot series he will continue the previous Feluda film series after Royal Bengal Rahashya (2011) and Sabyasachi Chakrabarty will return as Feluda and Shaheb Bhattacharya will return as Topshe. There will be two stories in the new film and the film is named Double Feluda. This is going to be a sequel of Royal Bengal Rahashya (2011) and the movie is a 50 years tribute to Feluda. For the cancellation of the reboot series Badshahi Angti is now considered as a stand-alone reboot film.

Gorosthaney Sabdhan is a  thriller film directed by Sandip Ray. The film was released on 10 December 2010. It is different from most other Feluda stories, in the sense that this story is based on Feluda's hometown Kolkata. Most of Feluda's adventures take place as he and his company go to visit some place in India or outside. Here, however, Calcutta itself is the setting. It is the fourth film of New Feluda Fanchise as well as the sequel of Tintorettor Jishu.By accident, more than anything else, the three find themselves beside the grave of Thomas Godwin. The grave was dug up by some miscreants for unknown reasons. The rather colorful history of Mr. Godwin makes Feluda curious to know more about the man.From the diary of Thomas' daughter Charlotte, Feluda finds that a very precious clock went to Thomas' grave with him. To his surprise, Feluda finds that another party knows about this clock and they are trying to get it aided by the letter with them. Feluda goes to a Christian cemetery, to see the graves of the members of the Godwin family. He goes to Ripon Lane to meet a living member of the family. Later on, he finds that there is an Anglo-Indian branch of the family as wel. 

Kailashey Kelenkari | Feluda 2007 | Bangla Detective Movie by Sabyasachi Chakrabarty

Kailashey Kelenkari is an Indian Bengali thriller film directed by Sandip Ray. he Movie was released on 21 December 2007. Satyajit Ray visited the famous Ellora Caves near Aurangabad around 1940−41. Ray was so fascinated with the beauty of the Kailash Temple and the caves that he was inspired by it when he penned his crime thriller Kailashe Kelenkari. It is the second film of New Feluda Fanchise as well as the sequel of Bombaiyer Bombete.The story revolves around the blatant smuggling and illegal trading in ancient sculptures across the country. Detective Feluda steps in to solve the crime and nab the culprits. His cousin Topshe, and Lalmohanbabu, the writer of detective novels who goes by the name of Jatayu, assist him in his work. The story revolves around the theft of the head of Yakshi from the Bhuvaneshwar temple. The novel depicts how Feluda uses Topshe and Jatayu as baits in the fifteenth cave and manages to catch the main villain of the piece − Mr Rakshit, alias Chattaraj in a series of scenes filled with action and high dramatics.

Sonar Kella is a 1971 mystery novel by Bengali writer and filmmaker Satyajit Ray.In 1974, Ray directed a film adaption of the book, also named Sonar Kella, starring Soumitra Chatterjee, Santosh Dutta, Siddartha Chatterjee and Kushal Chakraborty.The movie was released in the United States as The Golden Fortr. The film begins where Mukul Dhar (played by Kushal Chakraborty), a kid who is said to be able to remember events of his previous life, stays up late into the night and draws sketches about peacocks, forts and of battles that he claims to remember as he had seen, and soon receives the media attention. This finally ended up his father narrating the following incidents to Prodosh Mitter, at his residence about how he met Dr. Hemanga Hajra (Sailen Mukherjee), a parapsychologist, in his book store who in turn enthusiastically offers for help believing it might also help him in his research. After listening to Mukul's descriptions of deserts and peacocks, Dr. Hajra guesses that the place he describes might be in the deserts of Rajasthan. Mukul also mentions that he lived in the Golden Fortress [Sonar Kella] and that their house had lots of gems. Dr. Hajra decides to take Mukul on a trip to Rajasthan hoping this may shed deeper light into such parapsychological phenomenon, as well as help cure the boy.

Joy Baba Felunath | Feluda 1979 | Bangla Detective Movie by Soumitra Chatterjee

Joy Baba Felunath is a 1979 Indian Bengali mystery film by director Satyajit Ray, featuring Soumitra Chatterjee, Santosh Dutta, Siddartha Chatterjee, Utpal Dutt among others. The film is based on the famous Feluda novel of the same name written by Ray himself. It is the second film of Feluda as well as the sequel of Sonar Kella directed by Satyajit Ray. After the demise of Santosh Dutta (Jatayu), Ray remarked that it was impossible to ever make a Feluda film again without Dutta.Feluda, his cousin Topshe and the thriller writer Jatayu visit Benaras during the pujas. There they meet a Bengali family. Upon hearing that Feluda is a private investigator, the Ghosal family head entrusts him with the task of finding out the thief of the attempted theft that took place in their house. Meanwhile, the arrival of a saint by the name of 'Machhli Baba' in Benaras quivers the excitement of the local people.A very valuable property of the Ghosals, a golden Ganesh statue, about an inch height, was the target of the thief. On the other hand, Maganlal Meghraj, a wealthy Marwari businessman, had his eyes on the Ganesh for a very long time. He comes to know about the involvement of Feluda in this case. He invites Feluda, Topshe and Jatayu to his house and offers Feluda Rs.2000 so that he leaves this case. Feluda refuses, which angers Maganlal, and he sets up a knife throwing show, using Jatayu as the bait (much to the viewer's amusement). After the thrilling adventures in Maganlal's house, Feluda takes a vow - either he will avenge Jatayu's harassment, or quit being a sleuth.

Bombaiyer Bombete | Feluda 2003 | Bangla Detective Movie by Sabyasachi Chakrabarty

Bombaiyer Bombete is a Indian Bengali thriller film directed by Sandip Ray based on the story of the same name by Satyajit Ray. It was the third big screen adaptation of the fictional detective character Feluda after 25 years of the second Feluda movie Joi Baba Felunath (1979), directed by his (Sandip Ray) father Satyajit Ray. It was the first big screen adaptation of the Feluda new film series (Continuation of the original series) though Sabyasachi played Feluda in all the ten TV films of Feluda TV film series (1996-2000) directed by Sandip Ray. The movie was a sequel to the Feluda TV film series (1996-2000) which was a sequel to the Satyajit Ray's Feluda film series (1974-1979). Previously Feluda was played by Soumitra Chatterjee in two films Sonar Kella (1974) and Joi Baba Felunath (1979), directed by Satyajit Ray. First of the Feluda TV film series, Baksho Rahashya (1996) in which Sabyasachi Chakrabarty starred as Feluda for the first time, was released in theaters before releasing this movie in 2001. Bombaiyer Bombete was the eleventh film of Sabyasachi Chakrabarty as Feluda. After the huge success of Bombaiyer Bombete four sequels have been made till 2011. They are Kailashey Kelenkari (2007), Tintorettor Jishu (2008), Gorosthaney Sabdhan (2010) and Royal Bengal Rohosso (2011). A fifth sequel is announced by Sandip Ray where Sabyasachi Chakrabarty will return as the Bengali sleuth Feluda after five years and the film is named Double Feluda which is heading to release in 2016.

Tintorettor Jishu | Feluda 2008 | Bangla Detective Movie by Sabyasachi Chakrabarty

Tintorettor Jishu is a 2008 Indian Bengali thriller film directed by Sandip Ray based on the story of the same name by Satyajit Ray. It is the third film of the New Feluda Franchise, as well as the sequel of Kailashey Kelenkari (2007). The Niyogi family have a famous painting by the Italian master Tintoretto. However, not everyone is aware of the value of the painting. One of the family members steals it, and international buyers are interested in it. Feluda chases the criminals all the way to Hong Kong. There was a surprise waiting for him there. Eventually, Feluda (with the help of a relative stranger) succeeds in solving the mystery.

Royal Bengal Rahasya | Feluda 2011 | Bangla Detective Movie by Sabyasachi Chakrabarty

Royal Bengal Rahashya is a  Indian Bengali thriller film directed by Sandip Ray based on the novel of the same name by Satyajit Ray. The film was released on 23 December 2011. It was the fifth big screen Feluda adaptation of Sandip Ray in the Feluda new film series (Continuity of the original Feluda films of 70's) and was the sequel to Gorosthaney Sabdhan. After the demise of Bibhu Bhattacharya (Jatayu), Sabyasachi Chakrabarty declared that he would not be playing Feluda anymore. Thus, director Sandip Ray decided to reboot the series, Badshahi Angti, the first installment of which starring Abir Chatterjee as Feluda and Sourav Das as Topshe was released on 19 December 2014. But the reboot series was cancelled by Sandip Ray in March, 2016. He revealed instead of continuing the reboot series he will continue the previous Feluda film series and he will make a sequel of this movie named Double Feluda which is heading to a Christmas release in December, 2016. The movie will be a tribute to 50 years of Feluda. For the new film Sabyasachi Chakrabarty will return as Feluda and Saheb Bhattacharya as Topshe after five years.

Magno Mainak | Byomkesh 2009 | Bangla Detective Movie by Subhrajit Dutta

Magno Mainak is a crime thriller based on the novel of same name by Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay.It was directed by Swapan Ghosal.This is the third Byomkesh Bakshi film adaptation. Subhrajit Dutta played Byomkesh while Rajarshi Mukherjee played Ajit. Piyali Munsi, Rupanjana Mitra, Gargi Roychowdhury and Biplab Chatterjee acted in other roles. Director Swapan Ghoshal made two Byomkesh Bakshi TV series before this film. Byomkesh Bakshi in 2004 aired on DD Bangla. Another is a short-lived series Byomkesh in 2007, which aired on Tara Muzik. After these successful series Swapan Ghoshal decided to make a full-length feature film. He made it in 2009 with Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay's Magno Mainak adaptation.

Abar Byomkesh is an Indian detective film about Bengali fictional detective Byomkesh Bakshi released on 23 March 2012. It is directed by Anjan Dutt and is the sequel of 2010's Byomkesh Bakshi. Dutt made a sequel of Abar Byomkesh, named Byomkesh Phire Elo released on 19 December 2014.Byomkesh had fallen critically ill and is being nursed back to health by his wife, Satyabati (Ushashie Chakraborty), and dear friend, Ajit (Saswata Chatterjee). On medical advice, Byomkesh goes to Dooars to recuperate with his two caring companions. He takes a decided turn for the better with the change in climate, much to the relief of Satyabati and Ajit.

Plagued with a series of unexplained troubles that broke out suddenly, owner of a coalmine seeks the help of Byomkesh Bakshi to sort things out for him. When Byomkesh arrives with his trusted confidante Ajit, they discover to their complete dismay a maze of crimes woven around a violent murder that had little to do with the job that they were entrusted with. A mesmerizing mosaic of criminal characters, a sordid saga of lecherous lust, the thriller unfolds the complex layers of the human mind, so powerfully penned by Sharadindu, now retold by the master movie-maker Anjan Dutt. Ebar Shabor is a Indian Bengali-language mystery-thriller film based on the detective story "Rin" (ঋণ) by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay. directed by Tollywood line producer Arindam Sil. This is the first installment of Goenda Shabor film series. The film released on 2 January 2015. A police detective Shabor Dasgupta is entrusted with the daunting task of solving the mystery surrounding the murder of Mitali Ghosh, a woman with a messy past, who was killed on the night she had thrown a party for friends and family. who she divorced before settling overseas. Though she soon realized how much she loved him, her ego kept her from coming back to him. Heartbroken, Mithu found love in Mitali's cousin Joyeeta. Also involved was Mitali's childhood friend and secret admirer Samiran, who has relationships with several women, including a school's physical education teacher, Julekha Sharma (June Malia), and another girl, Khonika. Shabor starts investigation with his assistant Nandalal. As Shabor probes deeper, he learns many disturbing secrets about the Ghosh family, including the fact that Mitali had once eloped with a boy from her locality Pantu Haldar. She had married and left him within six months, ruining his future in the process. Another character, Doel, also comes into the picture. The detective now has to deal with the complex relationship problems that run deep root in the family and the mystery gets more and more complicated.
